SAFRIP GHANA LTD. (SGL) is a subsidiary of the SAFRIP Group, with operations spanning Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, and Cameroon.

Established in September 2015, SGL is a dynamic trading company specialising in the supply and distribution of high-quality animal feed products. Operating within Ghana’s expanding animal feed industry, we are committed to delivering nutritious, reliable, and cost-effective solutions that drive productivity and sustainability across the livestock sector.

With a strategic office in Achimota (N1 Highway) and a warehouse located on Tema–TOR Road, SGL has earned a strong reputation for sourcing and distributing premium feed ingredients. Our product range includes Soybean Meal, Maize, Feed Concentrates, Additives, and Horse Feed.

History & Milestones

Key achievements and growth trajectory
2015 : SAFRIP Ghana Established

SAFRIP GHANA LTD. (SGL) was established as a subsidiary of the SAFRIP Group, a regional network operating in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Togo, and Cameroon and began its first importation of soybean meal (SBM) into Ghana. Initially operated with limited volumes, serving a small group of selected customers primarily in the Ashanti Region.

2016 : Nationwide Distribution Network

Developed a strong nationwide distribution network within one year, quickly becoming one of the top three SBM traders in Ghana. Opened a dedicated warehouse in Tema to support logistics and distribution.

2017–2018 : Strategic Expansion & Technical Support

Expanded focus to provide holistic solutions for the animal production sector. Formed strategic collaboration with a European nutrition company to introduce high-quality animal feed concentrate. Initiated farmer training programs and technical support services.

2019 : Strengthening Product Portfolio

Strengthened product portfolio and customer base, serving a growing nationwide client network.

2020 - 2021 : Local & Sub-Regional Purchases

Focusing on local and sub-regional purchases due to the COVID pandemic and logistical constraints.

2022 : Feed Mill & Farmer Partnerships

Partnering with feed mills and farmers as part of our horizontal integration strategy.

2023 : Expanded Service Nationwide

Expanded service to over 200+ clients nationwide.

2025 : Horse Feed Launch & Major Growth

Launched horse feed and serve over 500 customers nationwide, employing more than 120 workers, with women making up over 60% of the management team. Part of the investor group establishing an organic soya bean crushing factory in Tema to support the horizontal integration strategy.

2026 : Q1 Soya Bean Crushing Factory (Planned)

Managing Director

Antoine Figali is a seasoned entrepreneur and key leader at SAFRIP GHANA LTD, bringing over 30 years of extensive experience in business management and strategic growth.

Based in Accra, he plays a pivotal role in driving SGL’s mission to deliver high-quality animal feed solutions across Ghana. His leadership continues to strengthen the company’s operational excellence, partnerships, and long-term growth trajectory.

Cherita Akossiwa Landzekpo

Personal Assistant to the CEO

Cherita Akossiwa Landzekpo is the Personal Assistant to the CEO and Administrator at SAFRIP Ghana. With over 10 years of experience in executive support, she ensures operational excellence and provides high-level administrative leadership. Proactive and dependable, she plays a key role in advancing the company’s strategic objectives. Outside the office, she enjoys singing.

Marc Michel

Chief Financial Officer

Marc Michel serves as the Chief Financial Officer at SAFRIP GHANA, steering financial strategy and ensuring strong fiscal stewardship.

With deep expertise in financial management and operational control, he supports the company’s mission to deliver high-quality animal feed solutions across Ghana. His leadership underpins SGL’s sustainable growth with sound financial foundations.

Maria Kassabian

Finance Controller

Maria Kassabian is a seasoned Finance Controller with over 7 years of experience in financial management and analysis. She holds an MSc in Global Finance and Anglistics, bringing both technical expertise and a global perspective to her role.

Maria joined SAFRIP GHANA in 2022 to lead its dynamic finance team. Since then, she has played a key role in strengthening financial operations through data-driven decision-making, rigorous inventory control, and detailed costing oversight. Her work ensures reliable internal controls, supports strategic planning, and enhances operational efficiency across the company.

Sandra Tagoe

Commercial Manager

Sandra Tagoe is an accomplished Commercial Manager with over 12 years of experience in the commodities and animal feed industry, having worked with leading international companies. She holds academic training from the University of Ghana and University of Málaga, Spain.

 Since joining SAFRIP GHANA five years ago, Sandra has been leading the sales team with a dynamic, customer-focused approach, combining deep market insight with creativity and strategic thinking. Her leadership continues to drive growth, innovation, and strong client relationships across the business.

David Carreras

African Business Specialist

David Carreras is an African business specialist with over 30 years of leadership experience across 25+ African countries. Former General Manager at GB Foods, he has led multi-country FMCG operations, factories, and large teams. Based in Accra, he now consults on distribution strategy and Route-to-Market excellence across Africa.

Deborah Aboagye

Human Resource Manager

Deborah Aboagye, ACIHRM is a Human Resource Management professional with over 11 years of experience in organizational development and people management. She holds an HND and Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, as well as an MBA in Human Resource Management, and is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Human Resource Management, Ghana.

SAFRIP RURAL WOMEN ORGANIC FARMING ASSOCIATION (SRWOFA)

Established in 2024 by SAFRIP GHANA

The SAFRIP Rural Women Organic Farming Association (SRWOFA) was founded in 2024 by SAFRIP GHANA Limited to empower rural women farmers in the Mion Region, located in the northern part of Ghana.

The association supports its members by providing training, technical supervision, and ongoing guidance to ensure high standards in organic soybean cultivation. All members are committed to growing 100% organic soybeans, adhering strictly to sustainable farming practices.

SRWOFA operates in collaboration with Gran Meal and SAFRIP GHANA, forming a strong partnership aimed at uplifting rural communities through agriculture.

Our Objective:

To produce the highest quality organic soybeans while promoting sustainable livelihoods for rural women farmers.
